What is identity? What does origin mean? Who can be where?
The installation “Stranger in the park” tackles the question of native and foreign beings. The topic hascaused an emotional debate in landscape architecture for the last decades questioninggood and bad species and dividing the flora into indigenous, i.e. native(autochthonous) and imported, i.e. foreign (allochthonous) plants. “Stranger in the park” connects this scientific debate to a societal discourse, with a wink.

Was ist Identität? Was bedeutet Herkunft?
Die Installation "Stranger in the park" beschäftigt sich mit der Frage nach heimischen und fremden Wesen. Das Thema hat in den letzten Jahrzehnten eine emotionale Debatte in der Landschaftsarchitektur ausgelöst, die gute und schlechte Arten in Frage stellt und die Flora in einheimische, d.h. autochthone, und importierte, d.h. fremde (allochthone) Pflanzen unterteilt. "Stranger in the park" verbindet diese wissenschaftliche Debatte augenzwinkernd mit einem gesellschaftlichen Diskurs.
